DAY 1 (Morning session):
The event started exactly 11:00 am where attendees arrivedat the newly fixed venue. Since the venue was changed due to disruption in the School Calendar. At about 11:30 am the event kicked off with Ayoola Oluwatosin introducing GoogleDeveloper’s Group (what it means, its mission, aims and objectives); went further to explain what Google I/O and Google I/O Extended means. At about 12:30 pm Afowowe Adeyemi  (GDG Ekiti State University Member) began the code lab session showing the attendees various Google APIs and how to obtain the key for the APIs and building a sample web app using Google Sign In API.

At the end of the code lab different question were asked and freebies were given. The session finished at about 3:00 pm were lunchwas served and the web developers started the Hackatton teams were formed while some decided to work alone. The day 1 code lab session was basically for web developers. The event was put on hold at about 4:00 pm and theattendees came back at 6:00 pm to join the keynote session live streamed, though the streaming audio was a little bit poor, a light refreshment was provided in the evening session.

DAY 2:
kicked off at about 12:00 pm due to the problem  in the newly fixed venue. They Day 2 focused on Android developers as Ayoola Oluwatosin (Organizer) talked about Material Design and how it can be implemented on Lolipop, KitKat and pre Lolipop, he also went ahead to explain some of the design specs. Different code were shared and assistance was provided to new android developers. The session ended about 4:00 pm after which general pictures were taken and food was served afterwards. Arrangement was made for the Hackatthon of the mobile developers though not much people were willing to enter the hackatton. Due to lack of electricity and poor internet in this part of the country the deadline for submitting the apps and the prize giving was extended till Saturday (6th June, 2015). We expect to have about 3 – 5 apps submitted to playstore after the
hackathon. The event ended successfully at about 6:00 pm, we had two new members willing to join our GDG chapter and several ones willing to start
developing on Web and Mobile Platforms.

We say thank you to Ayodele Marcus, Chukwuemeka Afigbo and  Awosupin Olalere Solomon for
contributing massively to the success of the events.
