Free Advices for the Naija Tech Ecosystem
Hello Developers and designers,
I am so happy to have met everyone on Saturday during the Devfest.
Also, it's encouraging to see the growth and development in the GDG community. I am so happy to see everyone working on one thing or the other.
Please keep up the good work as the world is waiting to celebrate you soon!
There is a wealth of opportunities in technology which includes but not limited to:
Digital marketing,
content creation (blogging, youtube content creation, etc.)
Software engineering and development
Data mining and analysis, etc.
However, only a very few people in the ecosystem have taken time to explore these opportunities. As an adage says: "Ignorance is no excuse!!!". We are in the internet age where you can learn your interest. There's no longer room for complaint on internet accessibility as it's high time this age embrace investment in internet.
You can decide to invest some percentage of time and money on the internet by subscribing&acquiring necessary resources.
Below are links to stories of Africans and what they've learnt and achieved in the internet age with little or no previous academic experience.

Furthermore, to be professional developers in your various fields, make effective use of the key learnings from the Akure Devfest and endeavour to participate in courses that exposes you to all the mechanics in CS which includes algorithms, data structures, analytical thinking, etc.
Key Development Areas:
Android Developers: Work with trends in Android development i.e. Apps for marsh-mallows, lollipop, cardboards, Android Auto, etc. Evaluate your skills by your ability to effectively use Google APIs (over a 100) to rich and reliable apps.
Web Developers: Need to embrace transition from Responsive website design to Adaptive website design. Leverage on your ability to create rich apps using the combination of multiple libraries.
Everyone: Be a change maker, help others grow. Share materials, softwares, videos, etc with interested people to help them and endeavour to commit some time to help others grow.
Share your debugging challenges and success stories on our various media pages: Google+ page, Facebook, mailing list and twitter
Hopefully this helps...
All the best,
